Making Observations and Predictions

We have been learning to extend our experiences and personal explanations of the natural world through exploration, observation and asking questions.

We have been learning to observe nature, ask questions, make predictions, share our predictions, and then prove whether our predictions are correct. Here is an example one of our sessions.

Whaea Annie brought some white daisies to school. We looked at them carefully sitting in clear water.

We took 4 daisies and put each one  into a glass of water. We added food colouring to the water in 3 of the glasses. We made predictions about what would happen to the daisies.
Here is one prediction.

Was this prediction correct? This is what happened to the daisies.

Please go to our individual student blogs to find out what we predicted would happen to the daisies

and whether our predictions were correct.
