Planting our seeds

 We were very excited to start back at school on the first day of Term 4 2020.

We celebrated by planting our Little Garden seeds.

We will be watching our seeds germinate and grow. We will be looking after

them, watering them and keeping them healthy.

Room 4's Learning Walls

 This week our teachers met with our parents to discuss our learning.

We all had to attend the meeting with our parents to present our

learning walls. Here is an example of a learning wall.

We Are Learning To Be Bloggers

This term we have been learning more about blogging.

Why do we blog?

We blog so we can share what we have been learning. We share our mahi to our global audience to show all of the amazing things we do at Tautoro School. 
We are learning to write about our work and to also reflect on what we did.
We are getting very good at blogging and would love some comments on our work.
Please remember to write a supportive comment. You can do this by writing something positive, thoughtful and helpful.

Term 2 Week 1 Distance Learning

As part of our online programme the students were asked to create an obstacle course and record their attempts at completing it.

Here is Petuere's Obstacle Course. You have to watch it in bits. 

Petuere's Mum took this activity 1 step further by adding questions for Petuere to answer at each station. Well done Ani.

Term 2 Week 1 - Distance Learning

Here are some examples of the work that students have completed as part of our online distance learning.
Every day the students read sets of high frequency words from an online learning site.
They are working on reading with accuracy and confidence.
Here is Rawiri reading words at the Purple Level. Level 19-20.
Listen to the way he is trying to sound out the harder words. He is not giving up.  
Tomorrow he will start reading Gold words. You are a star Rawiri.

Term 2 Week 1 Online Distance Learning

Every day the students listen to a story from Story Online. Then they record their feedback about the story they chose for the day.
