In reading we are learning to make connections to our prior knowledge to help us to identify and summarise the main ideas in our text.
To support our thinking about the main ideas in a text and to help us make
connections between ideas, we have been learning to use a summary chart.
Here are the Ruru group completing a group summary chart to record their
main ideas about NZ birds.
They are using a shared doc for the first time to share their
ideas about their chosen bird.
